Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (2949), Abu Dawood (1390), and Ibn Maajah (1347); classed as Saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and grace of Allah be upon him) said: “Read the Qur’an in a month.” I said: I am able to do better than that… Before he said: “Then read it once every seven days, and do not do any more than that.”

Aisha reported: “I asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! What do I supplicate in it, if I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree),? ” He responded, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).” [At-Tirmidhi].

In the Night of Qadr, we sent it [the Qur’an] down. And what will let you know what Qadr’s Night is like? The Qadr Night is so much better than a thousand months. With the permission of your Father, the angels and the Spirit descend into it, along with every command. Peace before the beginning of Dawn (Q. 97)

It is easier than a thousand months for the Night of Decree. With the approval of their Lord on anything, the angels and the Spirit descend therein. Peace is when dawn starts to appear. [Qur’an: 97:3-5] The Qur’an

Laylatul Qadr Narrative:

About 1400 years ago, a man who was worrying about what the people around him were doing every day, gambling, drinking alcohol, getting intoxicated, adoring the hand-made; the man-made idols of clay and dirt that were nothing but a piece of human development used to take a break away from anything in a cave named Hira in Makkah for some time.

He was in a cave one day, seeking an answer, crying out to the Lord that he had unexpectedly seen Angel Jibraeel with his 600 wings, majestic and mighty.
He said to the man ‘Read.’

Muhammad; the man in a cave, cried and said ‘I cannot read.’
The angel closely seizes him and asks him to ‘read’ again. “Muhammad (SAWW) responded, “I can not.” For the third time, the angel said, “Write. Muhammad (SAWW) seems odd this time, wondering, “What am I going to read?” ”

Read in the name of your Lord, Who made you; Who created you from the blood of a clot. Here! Learn! (Surah al-law, Qur’an 96: 1-5) (Surah al-law, Qur’an 96: 1-5)) And Your Lord is the Most Gracious… Who taught by the pen, taught the man what he did not know.

Laylatul Qadr was that night, the Night of Decree, of Power

Laylatul Qadr Signs:

The Prophet came out to tell us about Qadr Time, but there were two Muslims quarreling with each other. So, the Prophet said, “I came out to tell you about the Qadr but such-and-such people were quarreling, so the news about it had been taken away; but it may be for your own good, so look for it on the 29th, 27th, and 25th (of Ramadan) (of Ramadan).

“When one repents, the power of the heart recovers”- (Ibn e Taymiyyah)

If the night of Qadr had been a year-round night, I will stand in the night prayer for the whole year to get it. So, what do you think can be done for ten nights only? —Says Ibn Ul Qayyim:-

If one fails Layl tul Qadr this year, one thousand months of ibadah will be missed! And who knows that this could be the last Ramadan!! “———” (Source unknown)

Layla Tul Qadr Hadith:

Aisha recorded that the Prophet used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work harder) at the beginning of the last ten days of Ramadan and used to pray all night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers. [Bukhari]—Bukhari

Abu Hurayrah relates that the Prophet said: “Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the expectation of reward, his former sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends Lailat Al-night Qadr’s in prayer out of faith and in the expectation of reward, his former sins will be forgiven.

“He answered in the affirmative and said, “Once we were in Itikaf with Messenger of Allah’s in the middle ten days of (Ramadan) and we came out of it in the morning of the twentieth, and Allah’s Apostle gave a sermon on the 20th (of Ramadan) and said, ‘I was told (of the date) of the Qadr (in my dream) but had forgotten it. So, look for that in the weird nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan month. That night, I found myself prostrating in the mud and water (as a sign of the Night of power). So, someone with Allah’s Apostle who had been in Itikaf should return for it.’ The people returned to the mosque (for Itikaf). There was no trace in the atmosphere of any clouds. Then all of a sudden, a storm arrived and it rained. The prayer was then founded (they stood for the prayer) and the Apostle of Allah prostrated himself in mud and water, and I saw mud over the Prophet’s forehead and nose.
